Union Leader, his last released feature film as Cinematographer, was produced by Dim Light Pictures, Canada. He worked as an Associate Cinematographer in the Hindi feature film, Ragini MMS, and also on Yudh, the path-breaking television mini-series in India.
Nilip believes that his studentship at the SRFTI entirely changed his manner of seeing films and helped him to improve his story-telling through audiovisuals.
His favorite cinematographers are Conrad Hall, Vittorio Storaro, Dion Beebe, Christopher Doyle, Darius Khondji and Subrata Mitra.
Johannes Vermeer, Rembrandt Van Rijn, Caravaggio, Edward Hopper are his favorite painters and their painting always inspires him a lot.
