NILIP DEB
Nilip is an Indian cinematographer and film director based in Mumbai. He originally hails from the State of Assam in north-east India. Nilip post-graduated in Cinema with a specialization in Cinematography from the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, India.
Nilip worked as a freelance cinematographer for quite a few years before giving heed to his innermost desire of becoming a Director.
Since then, he took a break from his freelancing and started working on several short film and feature film scripts. Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video, his latest released feature film as second dop, was produced by Maddock Films Pvt. Ltd.
Nilip founded Blue Yacht and shot his first self-funded short film ‘Prison’, which earned several nominations and awards.
Thanks to this recognition, Nilip got a funding for his next short film ‘Cheers My Love’, followed by ‘The Missing Girl’, which was shot in his hometown in Assam with numerous amateur children acting in it.
Nilip Deb is an associate member of the Western India Cinematographers’ Association and Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association.
Nilip founded Blue Yacht with the sole intention of creating content-driven stories that enthrall and enlighten audiences.
